Kish International Airport
Operation Details:
This international airport has two runways, each 3,650 M long with two 367 M stop ways. Runway directions are 09R-27L and 09R-27L. KIA airfield has a passenger terminal apron of 25,500 Sq/M along with four 90 degree connecting taxiways plus two rapid exit taxiways.
Projects Details
A- construction supervision, KIA southern runway completion. Project commencement DEC 2019
A-1 KIA southern runway completion project contains total rehabilitation of runway 09R-27L and half of connecting taxiways including existing asphalt removal, renewed base &sub-base and top asphalt layers compaction.
A-2 Review of original studies including new pavement calculations, test results and executive phase-III drawings in line with new airport standards.
B- Project title: construction supervision, KIA’s apron for repair &maintenance.Project commencement 2021 Project goals
B-1 KIA’s repair &maintenance apron construction project contains an area of about 52,000 Sq/M including excavations, base &sub-base layers compaction also top asphalt layers compaction according to latest airport standards.
B2 Study revision of this project was based upon client’s requirements and phaseIII executive drawings were presented accordingly.
Construction supervision’s indicators:
1- Presentation of quality control plans (QC) for each pavement layer with required check lists.
2- Monthly fine-tuning of machinery, tools, man power and construction material requirements.
3- Monthly revision of the project time schedule and project time management.
4- Project milestones’ execution delays’ analysis, along with recommendations and complications management.
5- Quality &quantity check of the executed work. (Minutes of the meetings, laboratory result sheets and certificates).
6- Study and review of each layer and its execution, check possible deformation and acceptable results).
